PAST COLLECTION ITEM Yoruba beaded basket with animal motifsThis is a beaded container/box/basket hand made by the Yoruba people of Nigeria. It has hand decorated polychrome glass beads on fabric as well as some cowry shells. The container has elaborate designs of various animals in 3D relief on its side. The lid has a 3D animal figure at its center. With the lid on, the item is 15" high and 13" in diameter.
