Hand-painted Continental terracotta seated tiger garden sculpture

This is a large terracotta sculpture for indoor or outdoor use. It depicts a tiger seated with its mouth open and looking sideways. It is an unusual pose compared to the typical terracotta tiger and lion sculptures. It is most likely made in Italy. It is 38" tall, 25" wide, 17" deep and 65 lb in weight. When I acquired the sculpture it had no color. I have included some pictures in the gallery below of how it looked before being painted. A young artist (high school student) in San Jose, CA painted it using acrylic paints to make it look like a real tiger.
