Norwegian rosemåling (rose painting) by Borgar HauglidThis is a piece of folk art known as rosemåling (rose painting) from Norway painted on a heavy wood panel. It depicts a woman on a horse and a man standing. It was painted by the noted glass artist Borgar Hauglid. There is a brass plaque at the bottom of the frame stating "Gift from Christiania Bank og Kreditkasse, Norwegian Rose Painting by Borgar Hauglid".
