Land grant certificate signed in 1822 by the 5th US President James Monroe

This is a rare and collectible ~200 year old land grant certificate on parchment hand signed by one of the Founding Fathers and the 5th President of the United States James Monroe dating to January 25, 1822. It awards 90.88 acres of land in the district of Delaware of Ohio state to William H. Tong.  It also has the signature of Josiah Meigs, Commissioner of the General Land Office. The frame is 18"x12-1/2". In the early days of the republic the US President used to sign land grants and other day to day documents. That practice stopped after the 7th president Andrew Jackson.
