PAST COLLECTION ITEM Large Louis XV style Limoges porcelain lidded urn with gilt decorationsThis is a French Louis XV style porcelain lidded urn with extensive gilt decorations on a maroon ground. It has Limoges marked on the bottom of the urn. Overall it is 31" tall, 12" wide and weighs 22 lb. It has an acorn form finial on the lid. The sides of the urn shows many floral and leaf patterns. The urn sits on a decorated metal (brass/bronze) stand with four feet. There is also a decorated metal ring installed on the top of the urn which supports the lid.
