AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE CURRENT COLLECTION ITEM Erotic bronze sculpture Das Phantom der Oper by German artist Rudolfo BucacioCaution: This item has nudity and is not appropriate for everyone. This is a limited edition bronze sculpture titled Das Phantom der Oper created by the German artist Rudolfo Bucacio (born 1933) inspired by Andrew Lloyd Webber's 1986 musical The Phantom of the Opera based on the French novel Le Fantôme de l'Opéra by Gaston Leroux. The sculpture depicts The Phantom (The Opera Ghost) with a nude maiden (possibly Christine Daaé) in his arms. This is an unusual sculpture because it has movable parts - The Phantom’s cloak can swing open. When the cloak of The Phantom is in closed position everything looks normal and may be even modest, but when it is opened it exposes every detail of what the lovers are up to. See for yourself by viewing the pictures in the gallery. The maiden has been gold plated while the phantom with the cloak has bronze patina. The sculpture has been signed Rudolfo Bucacio and numbered 32/699 on the base. When the cloak is in closed position overall the sculpture is 32-1/2" tall, 10" wide, 12" deep and about 45 lb in weight.
