PAST COLLECTION ITEM Prof. Giuseppe Besji (Bessi) alabaster and marble bust of Joan of ArcThis is a bust sculpture of Joan of Arc by the famous Italian sculptor Prof. Giuseppe Besji (also Bessi or Besli)(1857-1922) made out of yellow/cream colored alabaster and marble. It is signed on the back Prof. G. Besji, Galleria A. Frilli and the title JEANNE D'ARC appears on the front lower center of the base. Since it is signed I believe it is an original from the late 19th century or early 20th century and is very collectible. It is 10.25" tall, 11.75" wide, 5.75" deep and 18 lb in weight.
