PAST COLLECTION ITEM Antique table lamp with pierced brass shade and engraved vase base from IndiaThis is an early 20th century table lamp with engraved brass vase base. The dome shaped brass shade has been pierced showing people and animal patterns. The shade has border of pendant gold fabric fringe. Although it is very similar to Middle-Eastern lamps, this lamp is most likely from India because elephants and horses can be seen on the shade. Islamic designs do not allow animal and people motifs in the Middle-East. The lamp is about 24" tall, the shade is about 15" wide and has 2 lamp sockets with pull chains.
