PAST COLLECTION ITEM Pair of Art Deco patinated spelter sculptures of the deity Artemis or DianaThese are Art Deco style statues from the late 1920's or early 1930's of the Greek goddess Artemis the huntress. In Roman mythology she is known as Diana. The statues are made of spelter and has a bronze patina. They look very similar except for the items that they are holding in their hands. In one she is holding a bow, arrows and a fowl (possibly the guineafowl). In the other statue she is holding a conch shell and some fish. The statues are each attached to wooden bases and the total height is 21". They are each about 8 lb in weight.
