Pair of Chinese black lacquer paintings depicting people fishing
This is is a pair of unique Chinese lacquered panels on thick and heavy wood. These were brought from Hong-Kong in the 1950's and each of them are 20"x40" in size. Both panels have red seal marks on them and show paintings of an old man and a boy fishing while seated on a tree house type of platform with straw located in the middle of a water body. Some of the features are made with raised structures. I have not seen this style of lacquer painting in recent times.
