PAST COLLECTION ITEM Drawings of Head of a Youth by Michelangelo and bust of a Female Saint by RaphaelThis is a set of two high quality framed prints of drawings by two famous Renaissance artists. One is by Michelangelo of a study of a head of a youth and a right hand in red and black chalk, touched with pen and brown ink over incised lines. It was actually a preparatory drawing for the heads of the Ignudi fresco on the Sistine Chapel ceiling. This original drawing is in the collection of the British Museum. Here is the link. The other drawing by Raphael depicts the bust of a female saint. The original drawing is also in the collection of the British Museum. Here is a link to the museum record of the drawing. The wood frames are about 14.5"x20" in size and have been simulated to look like an aged frame with cracks in the gold paint. The actual prints are covered with glass (inside of the matt).
