Octagonal marble plaque with pietra dura artwork of peacocks and flowers

This is a beautiful octagonal marble plaque/platter with pietra dura (aka parchin kari or parchinkari) inlay of colorful semiprecious gemstones showing a pair of peacocks on a flower branch. Many different types of flowers are seen. The flowers, leaves and branches are made of cut and polished pieces of materials such as lapis lazuli, malachite, carnelian, turquoise, tiger eye, mother of pearl, etc. They are then set onto the carved out marble plaque. This piece is about 11-1/2"x11-1/2" and 1/2" thick. It can be used as decor.
