Early Jean-Claude Gaugy wood relief artwork depicting a child holding a duck

This is an early carved wood relief artwork by the French American artist Jean-Claude Gaugy who is famous for his "Linear Expressionist'' style. It depicts a child holding a duck with both hands. A man, possibly the child's father is seen with a resigned look. This is one of Gaugy's early works from 1972 and is quite unique. His current style is more in color and those works are still available, but what he did a few decades ago are not so easy to find. The artwork is 32"x36" in size and is signed on the lower left.

The owners of this piece are located in the Netherlands and are interested in selling it. They bought it in California in 1972. If interested in buying please contact me.
