PAST COLLECTION ITEM Brass sculpture of Nataraja (Shiva as Lord of Dance)This is a brass sculpture of Nataraja which is a depiction of the Indian god Shiva as the cosmic dancer who performs his divine dance to destroy a weary universe and make preparations for the god Brahma to start the process of creation. Most of the Nataraja statues that on sees have circular rim, but this one has an unusual rim shape. The sculpture is 12" tall, 7.5" wide and 3.5" deep. It weighs about 3 lb.
